## Convective Rain Continues! Northeast Monsoon Faces
Setback: Weather Update for November 6, 2025
This is an insightful look at today's weather patterns,
November 6, 2025. Please remember that this is a **personal weather
assessment**, and for official forecasts and information, you should follow the
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and official government announcements.
### Key Weather Headlines: Convective Rain and Typhoon
Impact
Due to the **continuing uncertainty and atmospheric friction
(காற்றின் ஊராய்வு நிச்சயமற்ற தன்மை)** observed in the
atmosphere yesterday, **convective rain (வெப்பச்சலன
மழை)** is expected to
persist in various parts of Tamil Nadu today.
Globally, Typhoon Kalamegh is currently crossing the South
China Sea today. Fortunately, the likelihood of this typhoon causing
significant major damage is low. Even if it weakens and moves into the Andaman
Sea region, it is not expected to head towards our region or strengthen.
However, the formation of this typhoon—and the expectation
of another typhoon soon—is contributing to a **setback (தொய்வு)** in the **Northeast Monsoon**. This
situation is anticipated to continue for the next two weeks. The Northeast
Monsoon is expected to return only towards the **end of November**, coinciding
with the return of the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) influence to our region.
Until then, convective rain will be the dominant weather pattern.
