Severe Cyclonic Storm #Mandous Heading Towards Chennai...!!!
Yesterday Evening the #Mandous Cyclone intensified in to Severe Cyclone and over night its been fighting with moderate Wind shear to retain the intensity.Another few hours it will lose intensity and downgrade to Cyclonic storm to target landfall near Mahabalipuram -Chennai by later tonight.
As of now the Numeric Models keeping the system to intensify close to coast and cross as sever cyclone with 100+kmh. As day time like yesterday the wind-shear will get relaxed well to system maintain the intensity as well.
Another Key note is about our latest Cyclone Nivar , Nilam have sheared in the same NW direction moved and landfall near to Mahabalipuram stretch.The place is always a tricky spot for wind shear to influence the system.Numeric Models hint this time it wont effect the system.Above the image is clearly showing as the wind shear is relaxing a bit.
As of now the core of the system is intact to retain its life. we hope the system will cross as Cyclonic start with 100+wind speed. Any how real time updates only will give an exact answer from #Mandous.
